Legendary designer Oscar De La Renta, died on October 20,
2014. A family member told ABC news he has been battling with cancer since he
was diagnosed in 2006. Oscar De La Renta recently designed Amal Clooney's
wedding dress and has dressed so many celebrities. He became famous when the
U.S first lady, Jaqueline Kennedy wore a lot of his designs and shortly after
he launched his own line in 1965.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Annette Engelhard, and adopted
son Moises de la Renta. He was formerly married to late Françoise de Langlade, who was an
editor-in-chief of French Vogue, until her death in 1983. He has stepchildren
with both wives.
My heart goes out to Oscar de la Renta’s family and friends
may his soul rest in peace.
